WEBSITE

JCPenney News Room

JCPenney came to us with a request to create a news room website that would act as a hub for all of their media relations content, including news releases, videos and media images for print and digital.

In order to meet the needs of the target audience we focused on creating a simple to use website that enabled quick and easy access to information relevant to the the press. Minimizing the amount of clicks needed to access content from multiple touch points guaranteed that the media is able to quickly access the information they need.

A Custom CMS

The site also needed to be able to deploy content across multiple channels quickly and easily. In order to meet these objectives a custom content management system (CMS) was created from scratch. The custom CMS provided a quick and easy to way to add content across multiple pages. Additionally the back-end system was designed to be robust enough to handle large video media files, and encode them for web-based preview, without sacrificing source footage quality.

Additional features including an integrated Twitter feed, featured content sections and a robust Look books section.

Upon the launch of the website, which coincided with the JCPenney rebrand, not only was the website well received and used by the media it also garnered attention of it’s own and was featured in articles about how to create a media hub for the press that was easy to use.
